Art therapy is a type of psychotherapy that uses art and the creative process to enhance emotional, social and physical well-being.

Art serves as a vehicle to communicate emotions when “words are not enough.”  The creative process is therapeutic in itself and helps reveal new perspectives and insights into old and stagnant problems.  No prior experience with the arts is necessary.

Issues addressed by art therapy include:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Poor self-esteem
  • Academic and work performance
  • Deficits in focus and attention
  • Substance abuse
  • Eating disorders
  • Unhealthy relationships
  • Grief and loss
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

…and much more.

Brainspotting is a therapeutic intervention I may use to treat trauma and PTSD symptoms, including depression. The goal in Brainspotting is to access emotional, somatic, traumatic and sometimes unconscious information that is deeply stored in the brain, and to reprocess traumatic material and retrain somatic and emotional responses.

Brainspotting is considered an advanced brain-body based process involving bilateral stimulation, attunement, and identifying, processing and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation and a variety of other challenging symptoms.

Guiding Philosophy

A healthy mind is just as important as a healthy body and a healthy soul. My goal is to partner with you in looking at your life-story, and identifying and overcoming the blockages to a peaceful way of being.

Psychotherapy is a wonderful opportunity to find balance and restore a sense of wholeness and perspective on our purpose in life. I provide a safe, supportive and non-judgmental space in my practice for this to occur.

I offer Virtual/Teletherapy Sessions.
