About Melissa Giuttari
Melissa R. Giuttari, LMHC is a licensed clinical mental health counselor with over 20 years of experience. Her practice integrates traditional psychoanalysis with expressive therapy and other approaches to resolve conflicts and crises. She works with individuals of all ages and specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety and both individual and collective trauma.
Melissa received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont, and her Masters in Expressive Therapies from Lesley University in Boston, Massachusetts. She graduated from Convent of the Sacred Heart high school in New York, New York. Melissa has presented at numerous conferences, including the First International Conference on the Creative Arts in Therapy in Singapore. Her involvement in community interventions and healing workshops in Inuit communities throughout the Canadian Arctic, and her extended travel stays abroad have provided her invaluable insights and a unique sensitivity to cultural diversity and its varied expressions. She currently works in private practice in Greenwich Village in New York City.
