Melissa is a licensed clinical mental health counselor with over 20 years of experience. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Middlebury College in Vermont, and her Masters in Expressive Therapies from Lesley University in Boston, Massachusetts. She graduated from Convent of the Sacred Heart high school in New York New York. Melissa has presented at numerous conferences, including at the First International Conference on the Creative Arts in Therapy in Singapore. Her involvement in community interventions and healing workshops in Inuit communities throughout the Canadian Arctic, and her extended travel stays abroad have provided her invaluable insights and a unique sensitivity to cultural diversity and its varied expressions. She currently works in private practice in Greenwich Village in New York City, and is lead children’s clinician at the NJ Center for the Healing Arts in Red Bank, NJ.
